About your presenter:

Susan Black, CFRE is founder and principal consultant at Allene Professional Fundraising in Columbus, OH. Susan has two degrees in political science: a Bachelor's degree from Mary Baldwin College (Staunton, VA) and a Master's degree from the University of Richmond. Her career in development began as a Prospect Researcher at Marietta College (Marietta, OH) and she went on to gain experience as a Development Director at Easter Seals of Central Ohio and the Epilepsy Foundation of Central Ohio before serving as Vice-President of Advancement for five years at St. Vincent Family Centers in Columbus, OH. She founded Allene Professional Fundraising in 2008 and since that time has worked with many clients to help nonprofit leaders increase organizational sustainability through fundraising success. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals Central Ohio Chapter and the Kiwanis Club of Columbus. Her 2014 book Help! They Want Me to Fundraise! is available from and
