When you have moved past event fundraising…and you need assistance in creating a program that will bring sustainability to your organization…you need Fundraising the SMART Way. DSAIA is excited to partner with Bristol Strategy Group to bring you the next
level of fundraising in a 6-month program. Ellen Bristol and Linda Lysakowski (names familiar with DSAIA members) have created a process-driven approach to fund development that will help you raise money productively and efficiently. Fundraising the SMART Way is for DSAs with staff that meet the following criteria:

  • Your nonprofit has traditionally been funded by a single source or single category of funding, and is now ready to diversify;
  • Your nonprofit is determined to stabilize its funding base and build capacity;
  • Your nonprofit is entering into a major gift program or expanding it; or
  • You seek to improve transparency and accountability within the development office.

Where does your fundraising pipeline spring a leak? Find out with the Leaky Bucket Assessment for Effective Fundraising. It’s free, it only takes a few minutes, and every participant is entitled to an hour of private consulting with Linda or Ellen – free.

To learn more about this incredible program opportunity, join us for an introductory webinar. This is a VIP Offer made possible through DSAIA.

About your presenters:

Linda Lysakowski, ACFRE

Linda is one of slightly more than 100 professionals worldwide to hold the Advanced Certified Fund Raising Executive designation. In her thirty years in the development field, Linda has managed capital campaigns, helped hundreds of nonprofit organizations achieve their development goals, and trained more than 30,000 development professionals in Canada, Mexico, Egypt, Bermuda, and most of  the 50 United States.

A graduate of Alvernia University and AFP’s Faculty Training Academy, she is a Master Teacher. Linda is the author of Recruiting and Training Fundraising Volunteers; The Development Plan; Fundraising as a Career: What, Are You Crazy?Capital Campaigns: Everything You NEED to Know;Are You ready for a Capital Campaign? workbook, Raise More Money from Your Business CommunityFundraising for the GENIUS, a contributing author to The Fundraising Feasibility Study—It’s Not About the Money, co-editor of YOU and Your Nonprofit and The Nonprofit Consulting Playbook and co-author of The Essential Nonprofit Fundraising Handbook and The Leaky Bucket: What’s Wrong With Your Fundraising…And How You Can Fix It.

In addition to her consulting and training practice, Linda serves as Acquisitions Editor for CharityChannel Press and For the GENIUS Press.

Ellen Bristol, Founder/President of Bristol Strategy Group

After a 20+-year career in corporate sales, Ellen launched her consulting practice with the mission to improve sales-force productivity, but the market had other plans for her. Local nonprofit leaders wanted what she had to offer. Since 1995, Ellen has worked with hundreds of nonprofit organizations, helping them perfect their strategic planning processes, board governance practices, and most important of all, the way they manage their fundraising.

Even though she's never worked for a nonprofit organization, Ellen is now recognized as a major innovator in the field of fundraising management and performance improvement. She is the developer of Fundraising the SMART Way, the methodology for effective, sustainable fundraising based on the continuous improvement model, and designed its companion automated toolkit, SMART Way Prospect Scorecard, to capture, collate and report on SMART Way data.

In her mythological "spare time," Ellen has also written three books on fundraising, developed the Leaky Bucket Assessment of Effective Fundraising, and designed The SMART Fundraising Game, an interactive way to teach board members and non-fundraising staff what fundraising is really all about.

I continue to be impressed with the depth of the board/professional workshops offered.
