Learn how the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis and the Mid-South has adapted and implemented an educational partnership program in their area. Launched in 2008, the program's aim was to provide resources to school districts on best practices for educating students with Down syndrome as well as providing support to educators, administrators and families. This program has allowed DSAM to build very strong relationships with school districts.
Alyson Edwards of DSAM will explain how to launch and fund the program in your area as well as how to support educators, increase opportunities to work with schools and how to create positive relationships.

About our presenter:

Alyson Edwards is the outgoing Executive Director of the Down Syndrome Association of Memphis & the Mid-South. She has been with the organization for 7 years. Prior to her position as the director Alyson was the Events Manager for DSAM. Alyson has three children. Her middle child, Stella, has Down syndrome.

I continue to be impressed with the depth of the board/professional workshops offered.
