DSAIA is an effective trade association and serves it membership well because of its membership. Along with the resource sharing aspect of the association, its members are fully involved in the programming and services that we offer.
Our committees are filled with DS group leaders and industry professionals that work to bring the absolute best resources and services to our membership. We are always looking for new additions to our committees. Review the opportunities below for more information.

member services COMMITTEE
The Member Services Committee consists of a few work groups that focus on different services for our members. The VIP Team works on finding and securing brokered discounts for our members. The Resource Library Team evaluates and populates our online library with useful resources for our members. Along with these work groups, we also have opportunities to help coordinate Topical Calls and work on our re-vamped Speaker Directory.
professional development committee
DSAIA provides online training, leadership networking opportunities and an accreditation program to our membership at no charge. Bringing in knowledgeable speakers and interesting topics is made easier with the help of our community. Get involved in the planning process by volunteering for the Online Training, Leaders' Circles, Accreditation or Affiliates in Excellence work groups.
At DSAIA, we know that we are stronger as a community when we are growing and serving our membership effectively. The Membership Committee works on both recruitment and retention by staying in touch with our current members as well as communicating with nonmembers. We value the opinions of every Down syndrome association leader in the community and this committee works to build a stronger DS community by way of a strong DSAIA.
Our Board of Directors craft and execute the vision of Down Syndrome Affiliates in Action. They are professionals who believe in the organization and provide their knowledge and skills to further the mission of DSAIA. Candidates are elected at the annual leadership conference, but must be nominated by an organization member in good standing. Often, we are in search of a candidate to fill an unexpired term immediately. If you are interested in board service, contact DSAIA at email@example.com or download the Board Candidate Packet.
